...The Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders look for a college basketball win at the Belmont Bruins.

The Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders are supposed to challenge for the CUSA crown and their early season performance says the predictions are right on the money. The Blue Raiders come off a 71-48 rout of visiting Vanderbilt on Thursday behind a dominant 40-25 second half. MTSU turned on the defense with the Commodores held to 32% shooting while connecting at 46% themselves for a difference of eleven baskets. Giddy Potts was the Blue Raiders to offensive option with a contest high 27 points and nine rebounds with Reggie Upshaw adding 14 points and five yanks while JaCorey Williams netted 13 points and ten rebounds.

The Belmont Bruins are pegged as one of the top squads in the Ohio Valley although it’s still to early to nail this team down with their 4-3 record. From what I see the Bruins need stopping power on defense but they have won three in a row so perhaps the worm is beginning to turn. The Bruins come off of a 78-76 win at Lipscomb on Tuesday as they erased a ten point deficit at halftime to squeeze out the win in overtime. Belmont won the shooting battle 35%-32%with ten more looks for a decisive nine extra baskets. Do everything Evan Bradds scored 18 points and grabbed nine boards on 7-11 with Amanze Egekeze adding 15 points and 12 rebounds while Taylor Barnette and Austin Luke tossed in 14 and eleven points.

The under is 14-3 in Middle Tennessee State last 17 overall and the under is 12-3-1 in Middle Tennessee State last 16 road games while the under is 18-6 in Middle Tennessee State last 24 non-conference games.....

Big game. We are leaving the Boro around 4:30 and getting dinner before the game. Hope to see a sea of blue in the stands. Last time we had a good showing and that was when we weren't that good, with a top 25 caliber team hopefully we have a huge turnout of MT fans up there to give Kermit a birthday present - big "NATIONAL" fan base ... and a Blue Raider win!!
