The Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders won their 9th straight game and improved to 19-3 (9-0 C-USA) on the season after defeating the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs, 71-61, this past Saturday. Middle Tennessee went into halftime trailing by a 32-28 margin however, was outstanding defensively in the 2nd half and pulled away from the Bulldogs after finishing the final 3:43 of regulation on a 14-4 run. Middle Tennessee held Louisiana Tech to 36.0% shooting from the field and 26.7% (4-15) from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Blue Raiders was JaCorey Williams who had a double-double with 19 points, 11 rebounds, and 2 blocks. UT-San Antonio was down by a 43-25 margin at halftime and couldn’t fight back after Western Kentucky extended their lead to a 61-40 margin with 14:15 left in regulation. UT-San Antonio had no answers for the Western Kentucky offense as they allowed the Hilltoppers to shoot 54.7% from the field and 50.0% (10-20) from beyond the arc in the loss. Leading the way for the Roadrunners was Jeff Beverly who had 20 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists. On the season, UT-San Antonio is averaging 65.0 ppg on 38.4% shooting from the field. The Roadrunners are averaging 5.1 three-pointers per game on 26.7% shooting from the field.
