Veteran announcer nominated for hall of fame

Longtime Middle Tennessee State broadcaster Dick Palmer has been nominated for the Tennessee Radio Hall of Fame.

The 1960 MTSU graduate has been the play-by-play announcer or host of the Blue Raider Network since 1981. He also is part of the TSSAA Radio Network.

Before arriving at MTSU, Palmer worked on the Tennessee Vols Network and handled play-by-play for the Memphis Tams in the ABA, Memphis Southmen in the World Football League and Memphis Blues minor league baseball team.

Well deserved honor for Mr. Dick Palmer! Thought he was already in Tennessee Radio Hall of Fame, but he is among legends in his craft. He is indeed in elite company!!
