I don’t have any names I really want but I think it’s going to be very important to bring in winners. I don’t care if they are d2 or FCS. One of the big things that concerns me is Mason hasn’t been on a winning staff in over a decade.

Winning is hard. It’s part mindset, work ethic, intelligence, recruiting, and many external factors that are hard to quantify. I would love to see some winning assistant coaches brought in to get this thing going.

This is not me pretending to have inside information, I want that to be clear. It is more about sources being willing to talk once everything is out in the open.

Mason has been the choice all along (it would have been nice to know that lol)

Most of the “delay” if we want to call it that, has been Mason getting specific contracts for his staff.

Figure I'd start a thread. Let us dream a bit. We all know nothing will happen but at least we can keep the discussion on other coaches together.

Just heard a report that Derick Mason will be our new coach!

$30k per year to each player. Just like I've said, within the next decade there will be a split. And it wouldn't surprise me if a variation of this discussion starter from Baker ends up being the plan, some current Power schools will drop down and join us.



The NCAA will introduce a proposal that would grant certain schools more power to compensate athletes in a new way.

Hope folks are planning to go up to the game. This is our closest away game since 2019. Would be amazing to have a huge showing of blue in the stands especially after the way the team played at Houston. Belmont has played a very difficult schedule this year, similar to us, and they lost by 11 to Missouri, 1 to #21 Mississippi State, and 19 to #3 Stanford. Tickets are $10 for adults, $7.50 for kids.
