MURFREESBORO - The Middle Tennessee Athletics Communications Office, in conjunction with the Blue Raider football program, have planned an extensive day of coverage for National Letter of Intent Day on February 3. In addition to the annual signing day updates, the Blue Raiders will produce a one-hour live video webcast on GoBlueRaiders.com and complete coverage on Twitter (@MT_FB and @MTAthletics), Instagram (@MTAthletics) and Facebook (facebook.com/BlueRaiderAthletics).
Later in the day, the Blue Raiders will also hold its media press conference at 2 PM and will host its annual Signing Day Celebration at 6:30 PM. The Signing Day Celebration is free to all BRAA members while non-members will be charged $10. Space will be limited so please contact the BRAA today (615-898-2210).
The live show will air on GoBlueRaiders.com from Noon Central to 1:00 PM Central and will originate from inside the Blue Raider Recruiting Conference Room. The show, which will be hosted by Chip Walters, will feature behind the scenes video from the morning, interviews with coaches, and video highlights of the new signees.
The signee updates will happen as soon as their NLI is received by the football office and cleared by the Compliance Department. Visitors can view bios on the new Blue Raiders, including height, weight, hometown, rankings and vital stats.
A 2 PM press conference will be held for the media at the Kennon Sports Hall of Fame to officially announce the incoming class. The conference will be streamed live on GoBlueRaiders.com and archived for viewing later in the day on GoBlueRaiders.com.
The day concludes with the 9th Annual Signing Day Celebration at 6:30 PM in the Kennon Sports Hall of Fame.
Head Coach Rick Stockstill and his coaching staff will be introduced, followed by a video presentation on all of the Blue Raiders' 2016 football signees. Members of the coaching staff will then talk more in-depth with fans about the newest Blue Raiders and how they made their way to Murfreesboro.
Doors open at 6:00 PM and the program will get underway at 6:30 PM.
