It seems that after about 3 or 4 days out, most weather forecasts go on to trend with most of the averages for that time of year. The aforementioned weather forecast looks like about the averages one would expect to see for early Sep. Still pretty warm with highs in the mid 80s, fairly high humidity w/ a slight chance of producing an evening T-Storm as just about every other summer day when it's warm/hot and humid.
Overall, I'm pretty confident that the weather should be fine. If any complaints, I suspect it will be along the lines of really warm or even hot and humid. I doubt that would even be anything too extreme as hopefully early Sep will see temps in the mid 80s rather than creeping up to the 90s.
Reasonably decent weather could help to see a pretty good turnout for the home opener.
