nice to see him come out and openly admit that we've fallen behind other schools in CUSA on the facilities front. at this point, we are being surpassed by many Sun Belt schools too

No offense to softball but do they really "need" a new stadium? I think their field is nice. What exactly do they need that they don't have?

I guess something more than bleachers, and a lockerroom...

What they got the last time, IIRC, removed the main road block to MT being able to build the new baseball stadium. If I had to guess, this is probably a bone thrown to take care of any title IX issue that might be a result of the recent issue with that as a result of Matt Peck's complaint to the OCR.

Considering the need for a film room and team space as well as the locker rooms, after the report, it probably is just easier to do it all at once from scratch.
