Glad I spent my day watching playoff football games. This program is a joke. NMSU is one of the worst programs in the nation. So what does that make us. Pathetic.

I'm surprised people are still watching this team to be honest. I forgot they even had a game today, and after casually checking the score, I'm happy about that.

Not much can really be said. We are one of the worst teams in the country, playing against another bottom feeder, in a completely meaningless game.

The only thing these guys are playing for is film for their hopeful off-season transfer. Feel so bad for the people who drug themselves out to Floyd for this game. Losing @ home to one of the worst teams in the country....borderline getting dominated (NMSU has lead wire-to-wire)....sad.

I've been saying that. Flamed out his last several stops. Then you look at the DC hired...same story. Last coached in college @ Maryland and had a remarkably bad defense. Like, really bad.

I'm not ready to declare the game has passed Mason by....but I certainly think it has passed Brian Stewart by.

Mason better think long and hard about a new DC this off-season. I really hope they didn't give Stewart a multi-year deal. He's already over paid to begin with.

We are a joke. This hire by administration is just another in a long list of garbage hires. Our conference leaders are Jax st and Sam Houston. We are a joke. We have zero money. If we would have played TSU THEY WOULD HAVE WHIPPED US SILLY. Forget the transfer players. These kids don't tackle and can't catch the ball. Fundamentals are key and we have none. We wasted an opportunity to get a good D2 coach on the rise. Instead we get a bunch of

Both of you make good and fair points. The Mason tenure is not looking good. He better really hit on these high school kids and bring in some war daddy transfers or next year is going to be very uncomfortable for all involved.

Brian Stewart is going to end up costing him his job if he keeps him around imo. The most unimaginative, boring, helpless defense we've seen in a long time. Shafer's defenses certainly got torched from time to time but they also got tons of sacks, turnovers, and administered plenty of ass-whippings at the line of scrimmage. Nothing of the sort with this defense.

While grocery shopping early this morning I actually gave some consideration to making the drive over to the Boro.
The thought lasted about 30 seconds and I’m glad it did. It’s hard to fathom how far the MTSU football and basketball programs have fallen. It saddens me. Beating Southern Miss and Fedora in NOLA and Mich St in St Louis seem like ages ago. 😢
CM has made an entire career of this AD job which is unheard of in the profession and we are dead because it was allowed to happen. He has allowed season ticket revenue, attendance and fundraising to plummet while waiting for the BOT to approve the next annual activity fees increase to fund his shortfalls. Local TV, Radio and press coverage are non-existent. The “press”coverage is now done by an in-house employee.

To be fair the transfers were not really on defense. Andy Nwaoko has been a dud off the edge. Felix Hixon was a young guy that's starting to get in the rotation at DT. James Monds was another young guy who has been hurt. Brendon has missed all year. You got Howse and Xavier and obviously Xavier began on offense too. They definitely need to fix things asap tho

The DC needs to be fired immediately in order to begin any fixing. I've never seen a defense where the db's left receivers open just about every play.
