Bowl games are during the dead period

I guess Coach Mason agrees, he’s no longer scheduled to call a game. Harry Lyles is calling the games with Dan Mullen now.

One game during the holidays isn’t a big deal, but when you are a new CEO that needs to finalize staff and change culture to hit the ground running in January, I would prefer they focus on the task at hand. It’s not just recruiting, it’s getting your new staff in place and setting expectations. Same for new assistants. The dead period isn’t dead for work, there’s more than just talking with recruits.

And with so many bowl games, they now leak outside the dead period. There are 6 FBS Bowl games this Saturday on the last contact day.

I am glad to see CDM agrees.

He still won that Heisman though and that will get recruits. It's so not about what older white dudes like. It's about what the kids like and they are natural attention seekers due to social media. That's what this is about now. Goofy or not, the kids respond to it.
