There's defintely a private college bias. Only two state funded institutions, ut-knoxvillle and Middle Tennessee.

I'm surprised to see us above Maryville. That is an excellent school.

Academically the university is heading in the right direction. For example, the acceptance rate when I started was 93%. Last year it was 68.4%. I know a lot of people have scoffed at our slightly declining enrollment but we’ve become much more selective recently. We’re not struggling for applications.

From my perspective with an incoming student, MT is doing a great job. It is a sought after school and they do a great job in selecting students.

Need to get their act together with sports.

Just for reference WKU was 98.5% acceptance last year.
