The Blue Raiders didn’t have the season it wanted, finishing 23-32 (8-19 in conference) and missing the CUSA Tournament.

However, I’m told there’s expected to be minimal roster turnover. I would expect the entire outfield and infield (aside from Eston Snider) to return.

The only question marks are on starting pitchers Drew Horn and Trace Phillips. They both have decent draft stock, but from what I’ve heard, Horn is likely to return.

Phillips could go pro, but after an up-and-down season and some injury concerns, he could also return.

Middle Tennessee does lose Eston Snider, Will Jenkins, Ethan Imbimbo, and Jalen Wirtz due to graduation.

They do not expect many to transfer out so the focus is now on who they will bring in from the portal/JUCO.

I wouldn’t say that. It’s totally inexcusable to miss the CUSA Tournament, but when you look at how many players were injured (10+), including guys like Trace Phillips, Nathan Brewer, Cooper Clapp, and Drew Horn.

By no means am I giving them a pass, but I’d like to see how they look with their whole team, not guys having to step up who probably wouldn’t have played had they been a healthy team.

Are you really gonna play the injury card after 9 losers in the last 10 seasons?

The root problem is a culture of acceptable mediocrity and it is systemic to Football, Men’s Basketball and Baseball.
Coach Meyers wasn’t here for the last 10 seasons. He took over a program where he had to clean up A TON…

When he did finally get a roster together of his guys they all happened to get hurt. I’m not taking up for them because missing the CUSA Tournament is unacceptable, but let’s not act like it’s been perfect for him. This was the first year he actually had his guys in there.

I call BS. Vandy had 6 key players out with injuries for a chunk of their season.
Everyone has injuries. Winning programs and coaches adapt and deal with it. CUSA competition ain’t even close to the SEC.

This university's administration is a carbon copy of the Biden administration's lies, coverups, and gaslighting. Unfortunately and just like the MSM, the people that "cover" it help them cover it up - even if it's unintentional.

No offense Conor, but if you wanted to cover this like a real news story, you should be asking different questions.

I do believe if someone with access who wasn't worried about losing it might actually get some people to open up off the record about how f'd up things are. What's not being exposed at MT is a travesty to those of us who have seen thousands of our dollars squandered and to anyone left who quasi cares.
