...Q: You played the last seven games of the season for the Cubs in 1998 when Sammy Sosa and Mark McGwire were having their epic home run battle. What was that like and was there much talk about steroid use at that time?
A: "It was awesome. I'd pinch myself and say, 'I'm really here witnessing all of this.' I love Chicago. I hit my first career home run there on a Friday when MTSU was playing Illinois in football the following day. There were a lot of Blue Raider fans there. I guess they rubbed off on me. Back then we just kind of joked about the steroid thing. You'd hear about it and talk about it and people might say he's got to be doing something. But really, we just went out and played. That's what guys did. Social media and TV has changed a lot of things." .....
