Just noticed this thread - You are aware, IIRC, that both an all C-USA first teamer and an All C-USA Freshman 1st teamer transferred after last season. They both went to, again IIRC, schools in "power" conferences. Not sure but I think a couple of other contributors left also.
Apparently it is not uncommon for volleyball players to transfer "up" if they are successful, more so than some other sports.
Regardless, no mention of this has ever been made by either the athletic dept. or the media (as little as we have covering MT). Someone entered the info either here or the other place from a transfer list found somewhere. Check GoBlueRaiders.com and you can determine how much we lost through these transfers (check the articles from last year and compare the players on this year's roster).
Something clearly wrong, but as fans we will probably never know what.
It is so hard, as long-suffering MT fans, to have teams which are on the cusp of national prominence such as volleyball and men's golf which go off the rails and we never know what happened.
