BASKETBALL Middle Tennessee vs Belmont

Just watched the Belmont vs Louisville game on ESPN PLUS. Both future MT opponents. Will not relay score for those wanting to watch a replay. In advance, this was an excellent game between 2 outstanding teams. Lady Raiders will have hands full with Belmont Wed night. Keep an eye on their guards Wells, Jones, & Harvey. They are players. Louisville is ranked #7 & has big time talent. They had fits with Wells & Jones all night. Look forward to their matchup with Wheeler, Blakely, & Gregory. Should be tremendous game

UNIVERSITY NEWS Upgrades to Murphy Center

“Murphy Center is celebrating 50 years with a new pair of sunglasses. MTSU's iconic "Glass House" had a temperature and glare problem. SageGlass stepped in to help. With this dynamic glass, known as smart windows, Murphy Center is now able control the amount of sun coming in during any event hosted in the building. Take a look at how it works."

Q & A for Lee De Leon

It's time for another Q&A with Lee De Leon.

My guess is that many of you may have questions about the state of the football program & Stockstill's fate / retirement / resignation / termination. I do too.

However, I don't see the Q&A as the venue to ask these questions. Whatever Lee's opinion, his job is to push MT. For better or worse, he has to "tote the company line" (i.e. "Stock is our HC"). His job is to engage the fans but he can't go against the boss. And every single member of the GoMiddle community that has a boss knows that, as an employee, our job is to execute the plan for our boss.

So fire away on your questions for Lee. But don't ask about Stock. 😂

Notes from College Basketball Almanac

I'll be posting notes here about MT and CUSA as I read through the College Basketball Almanac. This almanac is an 814 page preview for the 2022-2023 college basketball season.

To say there is a lot of info would be an understatement. It's available for $19.99 if you want a copy. Well worth it IMO. Especially if you plan to bet the upcoming season. Can't wait for Monday.

THE ALMANAC: The Year of the Big; A 2022-23 College Basketball Preview Digital Magazine

For CUSA:

1. Can the league get an at-large bid? C-USA boasts top-shelf contenders and tremendous depth.

2. C-USA has just one new coach: Louisiana Tech’s Talvin Hester. How will he fare in his initial campaign?

3. The sport’s tallest player and best shot-blocker resides here. You’ll want to watch WKU’s Jamarion Sharp play.

4. Florida Atlantic has a chance at the program’s best season ever. How high can these Owls fly?

5. Both UAB and North Texas feature incredible scoring guards: the Blazers’ Jelly Walker and the Mean Green’s Tylor Perry

They have MT projected 5th. Weston makes 2nd team as a guard for us but that's it.

T Lenard voted breakout player of the year.
