Which would you prefer?

I’ve been looking at our future OOC schedules. We’re killing any chance at momentum right out of the gate. This year we’ve got 2 P5 away games to start. 2024 we have 2 away P5 games and at Memphis. 2025 we have 2 P5 games one at home.

I personally think we should only play one P5 payday game per year. We’re not likely going to win those games and we’re giving up a home game at least every other year (if the extra P5 game was replaced with a H&H G5 team). We’re paying for travel in most P5 games, I would assume, so we’re really only making somewhere between 800k and 1.2 million.

Would you rather take the extra payday game or a winnable G5 game?

I say 1 P5 a year or at least a low level winnable P5 as the 2nd game.

But it is a catch 22. Well worse. We need the $$ so CM schedules multiple $ games. But it hurts fans. But well, attendance isn't great so are we losing much? But again, attendance might be better if say Memphis, or someone like Georgia Tech came to town in a 2 for 1 series. So we could build fans that way. But we need the $. But more fans means more $.

It's a never ending loop until we truly start winning more than just random bowls. IE more Miami games AND conference championships. And stop laying eggs like we did against UTSA last year.

It's gonna take new blood and deep down the AD probably knows that so they are thinking why not get $ while we can now.

That was what I meant. I didn't word it right. I meant Memphis, then meant a 2 for 1 with a team like GaT.

I agree a G5 should be 1 for 1.

In an ideal world where we're competitive, I would like 1 P5, 2 peer G5 programs, and a FCS homecoming cupcake (maybe a local like AP or UTM or TTU).

Under Stockstill - we're not sniffing any real success at any point, might as well bank as much dough as possible.
