Some conspiracy theorist that believe that UAB would go bowling so they could play one last game. Not so fast.
An ESPN article indicates otherwise:
"Any chance to receive an at-large bid is basically nonexistent, a source told ESPN.
"No one will touch them with what's going on with the program since other options exist," the source said."
CUSA isn't too happy with UAB's decision to drop football and may push for bowls to choose a program that will be playing football in 2015.
Also, can you imagine the chaos of having a bowl practice while the players are being recruited by other schools and taking official visits on the weekends?
