LADY RAIDER BB RV/RV Middle Tennessee (19-4, 12-2) vs UAB (11-12, 3-11), 5PM, Saturday, February 11, 2023

Important to continue good offensive momentum with another 4 complete quarters tonight. Can't rely on Wheeler to score 30+ points each night. Whatever was causing Malashka's funk from Thursday this is a good opportunity for her to get back in rhythm. Was very happy to see us going back towards the rim, we need her inside drive & slash work to be a complete team. We may have looked awful in Texas, but when we play complementary ball from inside and out this is a very fun team to watch.

Hope we can feed off the energy of a big Play4Kay day crowd tonight. Decent start, 9-9.

At the end of 1st quarter liked seeing coach give Malashka an encouraging pat on the shoulder for her effort. Can tell she's trying to get her game going.

Nice defensive effort, but another disappointing offensive half from the perimeter. Looks like if we want to have decent offensive production Wheeler will have to lead the way.

Good convincing win with great defense tonight. Once again had to rely too much on Wheeler for offense. Got to have more front court production from Boldyreva & Malashka. 3 game road stretch ahead. Need to get a couple of wins next week to get road confidence back.

Not our best effort tonight but we did not need it.UAB did not have any players on their team who could get crack our rotation. Not many teams in the country tonight with 20 wins. Congratulations to our young Ladies! Best is yet to come….

Just read that as only an 8th grader last year Macie Phifer helped lead her high school team to the state championship. She scored 29 points & 13 rebounds, & is currently 5' 11". Those are some amazing numbers. I definitely like how Matt likes to get on the ground floor of building a relationship for the future.

Agreed. She looks like a diamond in the rough. Hopefully last night’s game was impressive! We had a good win and a big crowd… so I hope she enjoyed the environment.

Positive news: Houston upset #24 South Florida in Tampa today. Our win looks even better! Houston is 2nd place in American standings. This was USF's first conference loss.
