MWC getting blown up

I don't think the MVC is associated with D1 football though
He means for other sports. Rumors are if they do move football to the Mountain West, that all the other sports will move to Missouri Vallley. The MAC is all or nothing and won't let them hang around as a non-football member.

Won't hurt MAC at all since UMass is coming next year.

Surprisingly says other sports will remain in MAC. Everything I've seen previously said they wouldn't allow that. Guess minds were changed or reports were full of it.

I've seen they're trying to find a home for other sports, I doubt the MAC will let them stay. mvc or summit will be the final destination

Looks like the MVC would be a perfect fit for them. They could replace Mo State when they join CUSA.
When utep leaves they are going to leave us stuck with NMSU who no one wanted in the first place. A group of 5 conference that goes from Deleware to New Mexico is really dumb.

Is it true that they could make as much as $4M per year as football only?
Close. MAC right now is just under a million base for all sports. After bowls, NCAA credits, etc it is said to be around $1.5m.

Most are saying football only schools get 80% of a media deal. The MWC has promised schools a minimum of $3.5m. That's how they got UNLV etc to stay (beyond the lump sum payment). Even 80% is $2.8m. The TV deal could be more. Unknown right now.

Latest I've seen is other sports moving to Horizon which would actually save them money for travel in those sports. No going to Buffalo or UMass for basketball or softball etc.
