MT Rugby headed to the Sweet 16.

MT's Rugby team has made the Sweet 16 and is headed to Miami. since they aren't funded, they are coming up with the travel money themselves. I wish there was a way for the university to contribute when they make a tourney like this that could get them a Championship. It's about 12k that they need. The President was interviewed about it with the team. Why should he have an opinion if no money is there for these young men?

Just wanted to let you guys know. It will be on Fox 17 tonight.

I've known their coach for a few years now. He's a great guy and really has a great mind for rugby. This continued success is nothing to scoff at. He's most certainly don't more with less than anyone else I can think of.

I hope they get the money cause they deserve it.

When I was in school there was an Activity fee committee that gave money to club teams, radio station, etc. I sat on it one year and remember funding rugby and men's soccer. I am sure they can apply for that and get reimbursed.
