The Toledo Rockets won their 2nd straight game and improved to 2-1 on the season after defeating the Wright State Raiders, 82-78, this past Saturday. In a tight back and forth game, Toledo got a huge three-pointer by Jonathan Williams with just over a minute left to play to give the Rockets a 77-76 lead for good. Toledo was outstanding offensively as they shot 52.5% from the field and 36.8% (7-19) from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Rockets was Jonathan Williams who had 22 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists. On the season, Toledo is averaging 87.0 ppg on 47.7% shooting from the field. The Rockets are averaging 7.0 three-pointers per game on 33.9% shooting from beyond the arc. On the season, The Rockets have been led by Jonathan Williams (21.7 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 2.0 apg), Steve Taylor Jr. (16.7 ppg, 13.3 rpg, 4.0 apg), Daniel Dzierzawski (13.3 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 1.7 apg), and Jaelan Sanford (13.0 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 2.3 apg). Middle Tennessee allowed Tennessee State to shoot 51.1% from the field and was outrebounded by the Tigers by a 36-25 margin. Leading the way for the Blue Raiders was JaCorey Williams who had 18 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 steals. On the season, Middle Tennessee is averaging 84.0 ppg on 49.7% shooting from the field. The Blue Raiders are averaging 6.3 three-pointers per game on 33.3% shooting from beyond the arc.
