Everything went solid until the end once James Sells came in. Had a rough outing on Tuesday against Alabama, giving up two homers in his first inning in. Very rough week for him.

Clay Badylak has to clean up the defense at short immediately. He's been off and on, showing high highs and costly lows. Not as much as just missing on routine plays, but rather trying to do too much at times. Had two errors today and is already at 4 in 5 games.

Briggs Rutter is LEGIT. Idk what the rest of the conference looks like but would imagine he will be in the conference USA POY race if he keeps this play up.

Bryce Symlar was huge off the bench, going 2-3 with a big RBI.

True freshman Chandler Alderman and Turner Junkins came in relief for each's second career appearances and shined. Alderman has stood out against Bama and Miami (OH) the last two games. Can always use a 6'5 lefty that throws strikes. Will have to limit the walks tho. Junkins was pitching in the low 90s and got out of a bases loaded jam after coming in. He's done that both times now so if he can be a plug and pitch in intense situations as a freshman that adds another dynamic to the pen.

This team needs to find consistent success in the starting rotation bad and has to quit beating themselves if they want to reach their ceiling, which I think is solidly high

MTSU got three hits on grounders getting past the third baseman and the as able to bring a run in via a Briggs Rutter RBI single

Underwood gave up a two run homer so the Red Hawks are now up 8-2
