Funeral set for namesake of MT's Tucker Theatre

...Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday for MTSU theater Professor Emerita Dorethe “Dot” Pigg Tucker, who died Jan. 8 at the age of 97.....

I got to meet Dorethe once. She was a lovely woman and a tremendous pioneer of the arts at MTSU. She started a theatre program in the smack middle of Tennessee when it was rarer at the time to teach theatre at the university level. RIP Dorethe Tucker.
