MT the class of C-USA heading into league play

...Right now it looks like the Hilltoppers, Owls and the rest of the league will be chasing defending C-USA Tournament champ Middle Tennessee.
The Blue Raiders went 10-3 in nonconference play, posting wins over Ole Miss, Vanderbilt and Belmont along the way.
MTSU is ranked all the way up at No. 23 in the RPI rankings, making it the only C-USA program in the RPI’s top 100. The Blue Raiders are also ranked No. 65 in Ken Pomeroy’s adjusted efficiency margin ratings and are the only league team in the top 90 of those rankings.....

MTSU came into this season off the momentum of a league title and NCAA Tournament upset of No. 2 seed Michigan State. The Blue Raiders (10-3) have carried that into a strong start to the 2016-17 campaign.
Middle Tennessee received AP Top 25 votes earlier this month before back-to-back losses to VCU and Georgia State.
Arkansas transfer JaCorey Williams has added an inside presence for the Blue Raiders, as the forward averages 18 points and 7.8 rebounds per game.
Prolific 3-point shooter Giddy Potts scores 16.6 ppg, while versatile forward Reggie Upshaw averages 13.9 ppg and 6.5 rpg and leads coach Kermit Davis’ team with 44 assists.....
