GoMiddle previews what to expect from the tight end room this season...

Will post interesting things here as I come across them from Phil Steele's 2024 magazine. For those that don't know, he is typically the best prognosticator for the upcoming CFB seasons.

He has MT near dead-last, #9. Kennesaw State is #10!

He does not like the fact that we lose so many starters + bring in all new coaches + don't have the easiest schedule in the world. MT returns only 1 starting OL and zero returning starters on the DL. He does not foresee many wins for us.

He predictably has it Liberty, WKU, and Jax St. in that order but surprises with picking FIU at #4. I do think he's onto something here with FIU returning 14 total starters, 8 on offense, and a dynamic QB/RB combo. I've got my eyes on the FIU/Indiana game with the Golden Panthers catching +20.5 right now. Would love to see that number move to 21.

Jakobe Thomas is the projected starting Strong Safety for UTK.

Was talking expansion of KSU's stadium(currently 10,200, hard to believe there will be FBS football there in less than two months) and I was curious as to what our updated capacity is and was surprised to find it still listed at 30,788 on wiki as well as on our own damn website.

I'm a little shaky on my timeline because it's been more than a decade since I was at every home game and I've probably attended just just two or three total in the last six or seven years, but it feels like we've had tarps for at least that long and now we've played one(two?) seasons with the endzone/corner upper deck gone. Anyone know what our real capacity is now and/or will be after renovations are complete?

105. I see the bad in this, but also good. This will kill PWO offers at bigger schools, and now we will have spots for those players to come here. Looks like they'll still be able to keep 120 through camp.

I'll be honest. I won't fuss in the least for 4th spot as that would put us in the 6-6/7-5 realm. For CDM's first year, I would have zero complaints with that.
