Doesn't matter when every single possession is a mental mistake, unforced turnover. Just impossible to watch. Too slow all over, and too many mistakes.
Thanks to all of our seniors! But realistically, we should be getting more athletic, lengthier, and more adept at offense next year, pretty easily...
Would love to get back to the days where we had ATHLETES that could run, press and impose their will on other teams. Not sure the class coming in will be that but hopefully they have less beef and more athleticism.
I agree...there is no way we are EVER going to play half-court BB with the better teams in the country. I used to be season ticket holder to the woman's teams because I loved the way we played...for the last several years we are like everyone else.
Going to say this as respectfully as possible: With 5 seconds left in the game a player drove the baseline for a winning layup around two MT players whose physiques to not lend themselves to lateral quickness.
Part of that is on the coaching staff for not inserting more athletic players in that situation. A larger problem is that every team we play seems to be more athletic at most positions, year after year.

You’re not wrong. We are just too slow. I get what Insell has said about beating teams through execution but that’s a band-aid for a huge problem. It will help to have some tall, athletic players available next year. Our recruits coming in definitely look more of the speedy and creator types. RaShika White on the post should be an upgrade in defensive presence (possibly offense too).
Will he play the more athletic girls or go with what he knows?

At least with White and Hayes, both of them have been here this year as transfers sitting out. So he knows them. Good question though.
