What happened to the MAC?

Wowsers! They got worked today. Boise rocked Northern Ill and Ga Southern just ran all over Bowling Green. One thing that the MAC doesn't seem to be big on is defense. I think they are 2-3 right now in bowl games. Toledo and Akron looked ok but everyone else has been a nightmare.

No one gave Ga Southern a chance in tonight's game and they just rocked BG in all phases of the game. Let's hope we can help continue the trend tomorrow.

yesterday was not a good day for the MAC, and the MAC is now winless against the Sun Belt fcs call ups, 2-3 in bowls so far with WMU and CMU still to play their bowls.

GSU one of those team you just do not want to play...you saw that last night. Even in the first half with BG with the small lead - GSU had the ball for 21 mins, BG just 9. BG D wore out and was steamrolled the first half.

Secondly, GSU has so much tradition - they expect to win. I am "slightly" jealous of their success and fan base they have developed (App State too).

But, just what competition do you find for a casual sports fan anywhere close to Boone, NC or Statesboro, GA? It is easy for their athletic programs to develop a broad "sphere of influence". We are fighting so much competition for media coverage and potential fan interest.
