FOOTBALL Week 6 CUSA and Games of Interest

Impressive, scary, 55-32 with 2:00 left in game. UTSA may be one of the toughest opponents we play in Floyd this year.

these stats were posted on the cusa board:

Total yards
USM 546
UTSA 532

UTSA had 320 yards on four plays.
And 95 on four others. So 415 yards on eight plays.

USM kept dropping their Safeties and LB's back leaving the middle wide open just for UTSA to run right through. Great gap creation by UTSA's line but they ran right up the middle. No trickery at all and UTSA just Benny Cunningham'd em.

Bowling Green is terrible. I would guess their coach won't make it past his first year.

UNT broke their backs. This league is evening out a bit now. This was upset Saturday.
The road is cleared for us now. We gotta step up and own now.

I watched much of that NT and Marshall game, and Marshall is definitely not the beast we've known from years past.

This game vs WKU is huge for the east division

Whoever wins between MT and WKU will represent the east in the CUSA championship. Marshall looks weak. Just MHO.

Three Things We Learned From C-USA in Week Six

...So who predicted Old Dominion to be sitting at second place in C-USA East following two weeks of conference play? The Monarchs have bounced back from early season losses to North Carolina State and Appalachian State to spin up a three game winning streak. Old Dominion skips Middle Tennessee on the schedule this year so wins against Western Kentucky and Marshall would put the Monarchs in the driver’s seat for the C-USA East division championship.....
