Would consider Maryland a top option. Finished the year #12 nationally, & averaged over 7,500 fans per game.
Should get some quality playing time there. Good decision. Would have continued riding bench here with Rick in charge.Meioshe Mason, 6-4, C, Soph. (1.4 ppg – 5 games) → Eastern Illinois
Some more names off the board over the weekend. Strickland lands in Nashville.Off the Board:

Players have until 4/22 to enter the portal. I'm unaware of a deadline for players to sign. What’s the signing deadline for portal players? Any insights on offers or calls to anyone?
Adding more players to keep an eye on.

Yeah, I’d like to hear some contact and offers to these transfers. On3 hasn’t reported us being involved with anyone I’ve seen to this point which is a little concerning. It doesn't seem like we are serious contenders for anyone out there. Makes me think coaches are going to be going overseas again to get a few players.
Has word gotten out to players by opposing coaches about minimum playing time being allotted to MT women's basketball athletes?Yeah, I’d like to hear some contact and offers to these transfers. On3 hasn’t reported us being involved with anyone I’ve seen to this point which is a little concerning.
Hope we don’t have to be in suspense for much longer!
Very interesting that coach mentioned he's scaling down from 15 scholarship players to 13 because it's almost impossible to keep that many happy with NIL today.Louisville coach talks about recruiting at the 36:00 minute mark
For those that may not have seen the board in its entirety for a while. The Lady Raiders will have some visitors this week, and hopefully wrap up the portal season. The portal closes tomorrow evening.

A lot of names off the board yesterday, but some good options still remain!

Definitely some good ones. Think we’re more focused on a post at this point?A lot of names off the board yesterday, but some good options still remain!
Yes, a post with some experience. If the pickings get slim, you may opt for an undersized big, but I believe experience is the priority in the post.Definitely some good ones. Think we’re more focused on a post at this point?
That makes sense, given who we’ve got coming in (and our stable of returnees). Hopefully these visits this week will pay dividends and get a commit from one of those posts.Yes, a post with some experience. With Weathersby off the board, the frontcourt options are dwindling. Adding 3 more players I think could foot the bill. Walker is a bit of a reach but being in the portal this long and not playing more than 11 minutes LY she could fall to the mid-major ranks in her final season of eligibility. Gaines I believe would be a bit of a project and doesn't necessarily fill the "veteran" tag. I like Acker on paper -- high minutes, previous All-Freshman, four double-doubles, and a 21-point game LY.
- Sakima Walker, South Carolina C (6-5 SR)
- Former NJCAA Player of the Year at Northwest FL JC, averaging 17 points, 8 rebounds. Played limited minutes off the SC bench last 2 seasons.
- Paris Gaines, Georgia Southern C (6-3 SO)
- Injured midway through '24-'25, but averaged 7 points, 5 rebounds in 16 games. 50% FG shooting with range.
- Faith Acker, Tarleton State C (6-3 SO)
- Started in 27 games and averaged over 21 minutes/game. Good low post scoring touch with 52% FG and 9 ppg.
