Touchdowns were scored by Eugene Gross, Desmond Gee, DeMarco McNair (2), and an 88 yard interception return by Bradley Robinson that helped him earn Defensive Player of the Week, in the Sun Belt Conference. Colby Smith averaged 44.7 yards on punts and placed 2 inside the 20-yard line to earn SBC Special Teams Player of the Week.
Erik Walden had two sacks to become MT's career sack leader, with 16, surpassing Anthony McCord (93-96).
