11-30-96: In New Orleans, LA, MT (3-2) lost to the New Orleans 66-54. Freddie Martinez and Malachi Allen each had 11 points to lead in scoring.
12-2-96: In Murfreesboro, the Raiders (4-2, 1-0) beat Murray State 85-72. MT trailed 31-27 at halftime, but shot 70% from the field in the 2nd half, led by 22 points in the 2nd half by Roni Bailey.
