11-13-06:
In Murfreesboro, the Raiders won their opener over Cumberland 60-47. Calvin O'Neil led with a career high 14 points.

11-17-06:
In the Paradise Jam, in Charlotte Amelie, US Virgin Islands, the Raiders fell 71-62 to Alabama. Tim Blue led the Raiders with 13 points.

11-18-06: In Columbia, SC, MT football (7-4) lost to 52-7 to South Carolina. On the games first snap, Clint Marks threw a 73 yard touchdown pass to Desmond Gee.

In Charlotte Amelie, US Virgin Islands, the men had a 20-point lead over Toledo, but lost in overtime 75-69 in their 2nd game of the Paradise Jam. Kevin Kanaskie led MT with 14 points.

11-16-96:
In Murfreesboro, Ronnie Gordon had his best passing game as a Raider, passing for 230 yards and 3 TDs as MT (5-5, 3-4) upset #14 Eastern Illinois 31-24. Dee Mostiller had 5 catches for 155 yards. On defense, DeAndre James had 2 fumble recoveries, Darrell Love had 20 tackles and Jeff Dunner had 18 tackles. Touchdowns were scored by Kelverick Green, Gary Davis and Dee Mostiller (2).

11-15-86:
In Murray, KY, the Raiders (5-5, 3-3) fell 21-7 to Murray State. MT's only score was on a run by Dwight Stone.

40 Years Ago This Week
11-13-76:
In Murfreesboro, MT (4-6, 2-4) beat East Tennessee State 34-13 with Mike Moore setting MT's single game record for rushing yards with 219 and broke the career mark with 2,577. He also had a touchdown and was named OVC Player of the Week. Other touchdowns were scored by Gary Burchfield and Jeff Shockley on passes from Ricky Davis. Robbie Rogers also ran for a touchdown.

Middle Tennessee accepted a bid to play Sam Houston St. in the Refrigerator Bowl, in Evansville, IN on December 1. This would be MT's 1st postseason game ever and they were still being considered for an additional bowl bid to either the Tangerine Bowl, in Orlando or the Aluminum Bowl in Little Rock.

11-15-46: In Murfreesboro, on homecoming, the Raiders (6-1-1) beat Troy 12-0. Leonard Staggs and Bill Blackmon had rushing touchdowns.
