10-28-86: Larry Joe Inman resigned as head coach of the Lady Raider basketball team after 8 seasons and a 161-73 record. Inman stated fatigue among several reason for the resignation.

Always seemed to be a strange time to leave. Always had great teams. Finally, after nearly 28 years inducted into the MT Hall of Fame.

Well, there was something to it - but whatever it was (I don't even remember the rumors at the time) didn't keep him out of the HOF.
