For the second year in a row, MT has been the lowest seed to advance to the round of 32. Interesting.

I have always liked the MTSU name and - if it was up to only me - would keep the name. However I have also never been opposed to a change if it was determined a change would actually increase the prestige of the University as a whole. (And I've even got to the point I almost exclusively write 'MT' just to avoid catching the wrath of those who oppose having State in the name).

But JohnDavidBlue brings up a good point. If this basketball team becomes a national brand, will those pushing for a name change continue to pursue it.
