Teams are shifting conferences, don’t see us mentioned anywhere and why would we be, nothing from our administration, horrible last 3+ years of big 3-4 athletics programs, no planning of facilities upgrades…….. what happens???????

If conferences come together to make it regional, we will be ok. If all this ends up killing one of the G5, we will be in the outside looking in. OVC or SOCON here we come.

No. We could see this coming a few years ago, so I've already transitioned to the acceptance phase.
Yea it sucks. I graduated over a decade ago but still love the school and the time I spent there. Very sad to see whats happening, BUT its not over yet.

Just don't care anymore. We will be where we deserve to be. When you don't commit $$$ towards your programs, accept mediocre/poor results, allow incompetence to thrive.....you end up on the bottom.
We had our chances. We had most of the funding secured but chose not to break ground on new football facilities. We had a basketball program on the cusp of breaking onto the national scene and drove that into the ground like a nosediving airplane with the worst hiring of a basketball coach I've ever seen.
Our administration and "leaders" likely rationalize the situation as "It's Middle, we are doing the best we can do! We compete sometimes!"
The reality is they're terrible at their jobs and just coasting as long as they can for retirement. And because MT is basically a joke and we have no big boosters to put pressure on the university, their incompetence is allowed and thrives. As we've discussed for the last decade or more, there is zero accountability across the board.
We don't deserve to be anywhere other than where we are. And if we end up as an independent or in an FCS league, it is 100% our own damn fault and well deserved.

Given what ETSU and Randy Sanders did to Vandy last week and what Jacksonville St pulled off against FSU yesterday we probably need to avoid the SoCon and OVC as well. Div. II may be where we need to land. 😂😂
