Kermit is a smart, genuine person. He wouldnt think twice about turning it down. He wouldn't be able to fart without a report being written up.UL is a dumpster fire. I doubt Kermit would even entertain that mess. Do you guys think that they are gonna be hit with tons of sanctions by the NCAA?

Yep. The NCAA did not want to mess with their money train. They are corrupt and should be investigated.Loserville probably didn't fear the NCAA so they kept on keeping on. The FBI is the difference maker here, IMO
He's dirty as hell. Always has been.thought this might be of interest...
Auburn's Pearl not cooperating in school probe
Interesting for us younger guys at what point were we looking at this scum bag as a coach?I'm glad we didn't end up with Pearl like we almost did. We would have probably had some NCAA infractions had he been here.

This was when we hired Kermit. From what I've heard, we offered Pearl the job and it was understood that he was going to take it. When he flew back home he realized he didn't want the job. I believe we also offered the it to Gregg Marshall.
This is correct. This all happened well before the Kermit hire. No, Bruce Pearl was the favorite to be hired from in 1996 when Randy "asleep at the" Weil was ultimately hired. Pearl was a very successful head coach at DII University of Southern Indiana, but got cold feet at taking the MT job. IIRC, he would not answer any calls from Lee Fowler after the interview...
