It can from the left side. It almost doesn't matter how hard you throw if you are a lefty. Besides, with his size I'm sure they feel they can strengthen him up and add velocity. I did not play at Middle, but I only threw 81 mph coming out of high school and was throwing 85-86 by the time I finished college. Had I been a lefty, I would have had a shot at getting drafted. Unfortunately I am right handed and had no shot. Hurt shoulder any way and was ready to be done.

I'm not so sure that he will only be a pitcher. Played a decent amount at 1B and RF as a Fr and So from my understanding and will continue to play more over the next two years. This is a really good pick up for us.
