FOOTBALL Showing of hands.......

I plan to.

I have a bunch of stuff this fall so I have to check the schedule and see if it makes sense to purchase a season ticket or individual tix.

I got chair back tickets for this first time since 2012. Haven’t got them or anything yet. Anyone know a timeline?

Gave up my blue chair backs and stopped donating 3 seasons ago. Bought 2 season tix shortly after Mason was hired. Been a while since I was this excited for Blue Raider football.

We will buy 2 season tickets based solely upon the school moving on from CRS. Doubt we will make it up to any more than one game, if that. However, the school finally moved on from CRS, the least i can do is buy season tickets to support Coach Mason. To this point he has been everything we wanted CRS to be.

I’m going to end my six year hiatus from stepping foot on campus. I live a half a day away so the days of me driving it or flying in five or six times a year are long gone.

But I’m cautiously optimistic. Off the field Mason is doing all he can to pull the right levers, so we’ll see how it translates to on the field. No season tickets but I will be making at least one game.

I’m considering a GoMiddle meet and greet tailgate for one game

Could you arrange a National Guard escort for those of us driving over?
Travel at your own risk if you stay on I-40 after the concrete ends and roll all the way to Parkway. Binghampton is Penny’s hood. East HS and Lester Middle School.
And if you come in from the south side of the stadium don’t make a wrong turn through Orange Mound.
😂

Going to continue to pass on season tickets. Sure we finally got rid of Stock, and Mason seems to be saying and doing all the right things. But let's remember, this administration is still a clown show and I don’t have a lot of faith in them going forward.

Single game tix for me, if at all. I’ve just found other things to do with my time and dollars

I’m thinking about it. I can’t go the Saturday games considering I work Wednesday-Sundays. I live in Memphis so I’ll contact the national guard or marines to travel to the liberty bowl, I guess? That’s what I do every time I leave my house

McDonald’s Drive-Thru Carjacking Monday Night

This crap is why I did not renew my Memphis Football season tickets. Not worth the risk. The City is out of control.

When the Mayor meets with the gang leaders and requests a ceasefire, it only confirms the gangs are running the city.
It's only going to get worse with Mulroy as DA.
I told my college suite-mate today that I might make a road game this season but I’m not venturing back into that war zone until they round up and lock up this band of animals. Mulroy has to go.

I am not getting Season Tickets but will try to make it to around half the games.

Too much Memphis hate here. Just stay downtown, Beale Street is a blast, and Front street is cool with the Old Dom distillery, and there's some neat history, and the BBQ can't be beat (lol at Texas). It's like Baltimore, an awesome downtown surrounded by 7 miles of blight.

Mind you, I'm not sure there's a guaranteed way to survive getting there and back - I've driven in every major city in the lower 48, and I don't think I've ever seen drivers consistently drive with the IDGAF as they do in Memphis.

But hey, i'd risk my life for great BBQ.

Walking to and from The Rendezvous has gotten really sketchy. Whether parking in the garage across the alley from the front door or walking over from The Peabody. I’ve done both in the past 12 months. I used to never feel the need to keep my head on a swivel there until the last few years.
For the record, I’ll eat Rendezvous ribs and sausage cheese plates but I think it’s overrated. The original Payne’s on Lamar is the real deal but the last time I ate lunch there, with one of my old college teammates, he was packing and in full MPD uniform with Cobra SWAT team patch. 😂

Paynes was great. Interstate was my favorite back in the 70s and early 80s. Original Colemens wasn't bad at all.
The Rendezvous hasn't been the same since Mr. Charlie passed.

I used to hit Rendezvous every time, but found the BBQ Shop and that's fantastic, and i'm also a big fan of Central (yes, it's a little chain-ey) full slab of ribs. Even Tops is great if you're in a hurry.

I used to work there yearly in my old job. I've never had a bad time in Memphis.

My work has put me in a bunch of cities with undesirable neighborhoods. I worked in Philly once and the local contact said if you have work in these neighborhoods, schedule them for Monday through Wednesday before 10am (the criminals don't get up early). I found a great parking spot for an appointment in Baltimore once, and when I got out of the car, I noticed I'd parked next to a shrine for someone that had been murdered at that spot a few days before, which is why it was open. Even in Chattanooga, and out of state bank contacted me to do a walkthrough on a property they just acquired - I opened the lockbox walked in, and it was a fully occupied drug operation. Walked right back out. Came back with the Cops the next day.

Just like anywhere else, don't go looking for trouble and keep your wits about you and you'll be fine.
