Been thinking about this....

On Defense we need an upgrade at CB. We also lack depth. You have Singletary and who?

A pass rushing DE in the worst way. Who is in charge of DE's. West?

Better talent at DT would be nice. Anxious to see what Akins and Stewart can do. Bennett and Felton looked slow and out of shape this past year. McBride looked out of shape as well.

Should we run a 3 - man line since we have numbers at LB?

Offense

A go to wide receiver. Batties may be that guy but who after him?

Offensive Tackle. We need to do better here. Quite frankly I believe Darius Johnson could make an NFL squad as a Guard. He has played out of position since he has been here. We are good at Guard and have depth.

A stud QB. I can dream can't I?

Our offense really needs a prominent TE since we have transitioned to more of a running team. Hasn't happened yet. We have invested 4 schollies to find one though.

As long as Watts is our receivers coach, I won't expect much from that position.

I posted about our needs in a prior post that unfortunately turned into a "coaching sucks" thread.

Maybe this is more the response you are looking for - like you I am interested in what we have in corners:
Offense we graduated:

Marcus Henry, Chris Perkins, Devin Clarke - receivers. Henry is leaving some big shoes to be filled.. Batties is returning.

Patrick Hughes, William Wilson graduate from the OL. Most of the starters were sophomores and Freshman. O-Line should be pretty damn good next year as long as they stay healthy.

We Graduated Whatley - - who was a pretty big contributor.

So offense - should have a pretty strong run game - I am hearing we have some young receivers that are fast and very talented that we have not seen play. One guy is supposed to be Whatley fast.

Defense we graduated:

Bastien, McNeil?, Henry, Sharpe, Burke

Correct me on McNeil - did he somehow get another year?

Corners pose the biggest question mark for me. We signed a JUCO CB - I guess to replace Akons? We saw Howard, Frost-Dixon play some this past year. I think Singletary returns and that leaves Minter, Randolph, Alex Dale, and the Juco competing for CB spots. Some of those guys are young, so may be some talent that we just haven't seen yet.

Linebackers, we had Watt, Wafford Barber, Luckett we saw play. Any young guys in the LB department that may shine?

Some of the players have spoken pretty highly of the younger guys that we haven't seen on the field.

We haven't lost much talent - we lose Bastien and Gasque, and those were our two top pass rushers (6.0 and 5.5 sacks respectively), and we have to find a corner. Offensively, we have to replace Whatley, Anderson at tackle, and a couple of WRs (only Henry really did all that much).

RB:

We have a ton of RBs and several incoming guys.

WR:

We have to replace Devin Clarke and Chris Perkins.

To do it, we'll have Ty Clemons, Dem Frazier, Jevontey Smith, Chris Collis, Terry Pettus, Richie James and Rod Ducksworth. We need to find 2 reliable targets.

OT:

We need to find one tackle out of Jesse Moffitt, Carlos Johnson, Hunter Rogers, Connor Trent, and Robert Behanan.

This is assuming the front OL lines up (from left to right) with D.Johnson, D. Stephens or D. Adams, Stickel, Josh Chester - and then the new RT.

DE:

We lose only Bastien as a starter.

Figure Antoine or Rhodes at one end, McNeil and McBride in the middle, and the new DE at the other end. You could move Rhodes over and then you wouldn't have to find a new starter - both Antoine and Rhodes started games for us last year.

The middle should be stout, but I don't know if either Antoine or Rhodes are pass rushers that can replace 11.5 sacks of Gasque and Bastien.

We have Isreal Aurismond, Darius Liggins, Jahmal Jones, Todney Evans, and Chris Hale.

LB:

We lose Gasque and Henry. Henry was servicable, and Gasque was a part time specialist. I won't list the LBs returning, but there's a bunch of them and we just signed Myles Harges.

CB:

Singletary has one spot. Burke and Sharpe leaves, and Akins was booted. Sharpe didn't play much. Burke was a full time starter.

We have to find one corner, and we have some highly touted guys like Jamarcus Howard, Frost-Dixon, Mike Minter, Alex Dale and Darryl Randolph to go with Dontavious Heard (JUCO) and a 3 star freshman early enrolled in Khalil Brooks.

So, as for recruiting needs for this class - I really don't see a whole lot of opportunity unless one of the freshman just comes in and blows away the competition. The holes we have will likely be filled by guys already on campus and redshirts.
