Meant to post this yesterday but was on the road all day. That being said, JUCO WR Jarrin Pierce made it official yesterday, tweeting out his decision to commit to MT:
Pierce picked up his offer from MT earlier in the summer, and has been getting blitzed by Franklin and Genovese ever since.
As a freshman last year, Pierce was the second leading receiver on his College of the Canyons squad. On the year, he hauled in 49 receptions for 764 yards and 5 TD's.
Coming out of high school, Pierce was at one time a 3-star recruit and receiving interest from a number of schools out west, but the offers just never came his way. He ultimately ended up committing and signing with Northern Colorado before opting to go the JUCO route. In interviews I've read on him, he mentioned some schools waiting to see his SAT results, so there may have been some academic issues holding him back there.
Nonetheless, you're not going to be wowed by his offer list (MT is solo right now), but don't get it twisted, this kid can play. One source I have spoke very highly of him and said MT had "found their next Richie."
