La Tech beat Western tonight giving the Lady Raiders the CUSA Regular Season Championship title. Still so much more to accomplish but this is a rewarding step along that journey.

A one game week may give some concern for a bit of rust due to extended time off. I'm taking the opposite thought though. After almost 30 games played & countless practices I think the time off to get fresh legs back will be a good thing. For example prior to Whitson's injury her offensive production had started tapering off. She still worked her rear off on the boards really hard, but just couldn't help much on offense. One needs fresh legs for driving & shooting. However, after coming back from injury & 2 weeks rest look what she did last week. It was not just her's, but our team's best offensive output in weeks. Hopefully adding an extra game off this week plus Tech's tough Thursday night game against Western will give us a healthy edge on the road in Ruston tomorrow.
