Memphis cans Tubby - Penny #1 candidate

Tubby to MT to replace CKD! /SI
Tubby was an awful fit for Memphis. His comments this past year almost asked to get out. I see Tubby ending up at High Point (his alma mater) or maybe East Carolina.
I don't know about Penny as a HC. Didn't work for Georgetown or St. Johns.

I disagree. Georgetown and St. Johns really came on towards the middle of the year and towards the end.
I watched many Georgetown games and I can tell you that's going to be a really good team in the coming years. They just have to learn how to finish games. They were up at the half and dominated a ton of teams in the Big East but just couldn't figure out how to close the game out. They're a young team and when they get that figured out you are going to see a scary @$$ team. Won so much money on Georgetown this year.
St. Johns maybe not so much. Relied too much on 1 guy to take over but they had some HUGE wins. Shamorie Ponds or something is his name. NBA player. Took over quite a few games and carried St. Johns to some very impressive wins. Doubt he's around much longer though.
I think Penny is going to KILL it personally. Guess we'll see.
