I think you have to really be selective for your first FBS head coaching gig. I don't know that coaching at FIU would be a good approach at that.

I actually think FIU would be a great job for Diaz. I feel like he would do very well there. With that being said, I also think he could hold out for a better gig and if I were him that's what I would do. I could easily see him somewhere like

I'd be shocked if he went to FIU. Have a feeling he'll be at UM for a while. Get a national title or two under his belt and he could be a Shaw-type coach for a P5.
