Or maybe he is just accepting a position at a better program?
Probably so. He was making $102k at Indiana in 2018 before coming to MT for $85k a year per the MT salary database.
We have our new pitching coach and shockingly (sarcasm) he was an assistant AD at South Carolina for the past 4 years.
Honestly, I’m past the point of actually giving a crap because that’s exactly the same attitude those in position to make MT hiring decisions have. Fans have been very vocal about reasons for their apathy. Horrible long term contracts, nepotism, good ol boy network favors, and now this.
I could be wrong and this guy may be the real deal of pitching coaches. But the State of South Carolina pipeline for coaches and AD to MT has not been good. JMHO, this is just another middle finger to the fanbase by CM “because he can.”
