Well……Mr. Wiley. It’s open season for college free agents!! 😂 Belmont’s best player, Ja’Kobi Gillespie has entered the portal and is being targeted by Indiana, Memphis, Bama, Virginia Tech and others.
If the Memphis NIL folks win the bidding, I hope he will consider being a 2-sport pro. He’s a heckuva WR/DB as well when he was coming out of Greeneville, TN HS.😉

Yup. Which makes it even more ridiculous to have a losing record coach after six years. The days of giving them time to build a program are gone. You need two years, 3 tops.
Year 1: bring some new guys in that you see a need for in preseason
Year 2: bring in guys to fix the holes from year one and win
Year 3 if needed, win huge.
Year 4 new coach because yours got yanked by a major program. You did something right. Take the buyout and do it over again.
SMU just fired their coach today after two seasons. This year he won 20 games. Yet we d!ck around with this under achiever.
