I hate the DNJ, what kind of crap organization limiting the number of articles you can read. I mean how stupid are they. They aren't worth subscribing too one bit.
I agree that the media has become too concerned with profits at the expense of providing a public service and there are many other factors also involved. As someone who has lived all his life outside of Rutherford Co. except when in school I, for many years, subscribed to the print edition (that's all there was) by mail. I was willing to pay for the subscription and get my news late just to be able to follow the Blue Raiders.
That said. There are ways around the paywall - and lots of outlets have a subscription charge - and lastly and IMHO more importantly; Sparks and Borthick are the only beat writers following the Blue Raiders and unless you have someone on the inside of the program they have the latest and most accurate info.
