La Tech comes in riding a 4 game winning streak, & looking to equal its season's best 5 game win stretch from earlier this year.
Due to a scheduling conflict with the TSSAA high school basketball tournament in Murfreesboro, MT & Tech will kick off the final regular season game come breakfast time. No need to worry about missing breakfast as Coach Insell has announced preparations for morning meal selections for all who come out.
With Wednesday's victory at Liberty Middle Tennessee still maintains a #39 Net Ranking & #10 seed in the latest Women's Bracketology.

Very proud of this team! It is so incredibly difficult to go undefeated in conference play, especially as the top team when everyone is looking to take you down.

First time we've gone undefeated in conference play in 12 years. Hard to believe that, but watching this team I'm not surprised they are the ones to do it. I hope we have a packed arena down in Huntsville for the CUSA Tournament... this team deserves it.

Congratulations Lady Raiders on a tremendous regular season!
Both teams fought extremely hard. Refs probably should have had a little more control as things got chippy. Could tell both teams were really dragging by the 4th quarter. Odds are neither team got more than 4-5 hours of sleep with such an early start. Hopefully we get some good rest to finish out the weekend before tournament time.
BTW- Heck of a crowd for a 9:30 game. But by the final horn even 90% of the crowd was ready to go home for a nap. Hope we never have to do this again. Was angry at 1st blaming the administration for the timing, but in retrospect it was just one of those quirky situations where there's no one to truly blame. Just glad it was a hard fought victory with no injuries. Now on to Huntsville!

Gotta admit this game scared me as we always get Tech’s best shot. Started fast but then let #3 for them have her way in the 2nd quarter when they cut it to single digits. 3rd quarter helped extend our lead and it was pretty much over at that point. This team has kept focus and hopefully will continue that in the tourney. Great season for the players and staff!!

With NM State's upset of FIU today, it should hold the tiebreaker over UTEP and put the Miners and Sam Houston in the play in game to face Middle next week.

FIU really faltered at the end of the season; still impressed with their season.

Honestly anything less than 16-0 would have been a disappointment when the 2nd best team is at .500. Take out MT and it's the worst (or close to it) conference in D-I. Hoping Liberty can get on Middle's level eventually so we're not sweating it out on Selection Sunday if they don't win the tourney.

For this year, I think Middle has done just enough to get in regardless of how the tourney goes
