Middle Tennessee State is off and running, assembling the 2025 recruiting class. No, you are not dreaming Blue Raider faithful, the class currently sits with double-digit commitments. As of this publication, the Blue Raiders have 11 known commitments.

Derek Mason has put an emphasis on in state recruiting and there is certainly an in-state flavor when it comes to the 2025 class. Seven of the known 11 commitments are from the state of Tennessee.

Pathetic how low we are. I can understand people not wanting to give to the university with the incompetent leadership we have had the last 20 plus years, but you would think we would at least get a decent return on what we do have. Who is managing the endowment? Didn't we have close to this amount 20 years ago?

My sources say that the Lady Raider's have been looking heavily for a true point guard and/or a 4 (forward) via the portal.

This would confirm my thoughts in a post early last week. Really need a true 1-point guard much like we had with Wheeler. I don't necessarily believe they have to be a 15+ ppg guard either, someone with high ball IQ. This roster is loaded with proven scorers even with the loss of Wheeler and Whitson. In regards to the 4, I do believe they want a skilled ball handler and someone to space the floor (if you can catch my Whitson-like drift). If they could pull someone with size (6'3"+) this team could be a force next March (assuming the roster stays in tact).

I enjoy periodically checking our coaches personal social media postings thru Twitter (X), & picking up good nuggets of info about what's going on with their personal team.
CRI, & the rest of the ladies associate coaches are great about being informative with the latest in the Lady Raider Basketball program.
CDM, has really jumped on board in the football program using (X), & I love checking in.
What got me started watching social media coaches postings was Kermit from back in the day. He was all about it. That originally continued with CNM, however is it me or has he totally dropped using an (X) account for men's basketball?
I haven't seen anything from him since the end of 2022. Not that big a deal, but wasn't sure if I'm checking things correctly.
Normally I just try Coach Nick McDevitt Twitter (X) to see if there's any personal insights he's posted about the men's team, but I haven't seen anything in ages. Format for his Twitter search changed, or just abandoned?
