speaking of former MT connections, Arkansas State, where near half the damn staff former MT coaches and players, beat App State in Boone last night to take sole possession of 1st place in the belt.

HC Blake Anderson - previously worked at Middle Tennessee, where he helped direct an offensive unit as co-offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach from 2002-04.

Walt Bell - Assistant Head Coach/Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks Coach, four-year letterman at wide receiver for the Blue Raiders

Glen Ellarbee - Co-Offensive Coordinator/Offensive Line Coach, Four year letterman at offensive lineman, and offensive line coach 2012.

Micah James - Graduate assistant, two year lineman at MT

Joe Cauthen - Defensive Coordinator/Linebackers Coach, Cauthen served as the Blue Raiders’ defensive line coach in 2012 and 2013 after working as the linebackers coach in 2011. He was also the special teams coordinator all three years he spent at MT
