FOOTBALL TV will be on the agenda as Conference USA meetings convene in Florida

It seems as if some newspapers have found a way to provide needed coverage and remain viable. One only has to look at the Chattanooga Times Free Press to see another medium size market where the local paper seems to run as it has for years and cover just as much news including a wide sports coverage. A common thread for these two papers is that they are both still locally owned.

A question: Will Amato be replaced at the DNJ or will MT become one of the few, perhaps the only, D-1 FB schools w/o a Beat Writer?

As an aside: the DNJ MT web site's last entry was Amato's notice last week that he was leaving - entry prior to that was 17 days ago.

If the dnj has addressed Amato's leaving and/or replacement, I have missed it. If there is going to be a replacement, you would think they would be wanting get the replacement in on the ground before fall camp, so the new person isn't wandering lost in the bowels of Murphy Center.
