Seeing Troy's facilities now, versus when we were in the Sunbelt with them shows how inept our AD and President are. They have blown by us facility wise. The have a brand new basketball arena and really nice football stadium covered in brick and a nice end zone facility. Meanwhile, we have no indoor practice facility an ugly out dated erector set football stadium, a worn out Murphy Center that STILL has bleachers from the 70s in it. When we be able to escape the purgatory we are in with our president and AD?

At this point I'm sure there are several D2 schools that have passed us facilities wise.

Well I don't know how much more MT fans can expect. It's only been a little over a year since they put out that pretty little video of the new athletics facilities master plan. That should satisfy the fan base, oh, for the next four or five years anyway, and keep the heat off McPhee and Massaro, which was the purpose all along.

There are plenty of D2(west ga), FCS programs with better facilities than MT, and are still expanding and building them.

All we ever hear about is money, money, money, money. We don't have any, we don't have any, we don't have any.

Yet, our budgets are bigger than many of these other schools with facilities that put ours to shame. Let me guess, we are just the most unlucky school on the planet when it comes to donations, sugar daddies, etc? I'm sure that's the excuse.

Or maybe our AD is a fvcking dead tree, that's the reason. Yes, let's go with that one.

Massaro needs to get the F out of here and Blackburn needs to be given his shot.

Troy's endzone is very nice but their stadium is very very similar to ours minus the brick accents. When I visited there I could tell they took a couple of p's and q's from our budget job of a stadium. Let's be clear...the best Floyd could do right now is decrease size. We have a coach that is not going to sell it out and a product that is ho hum. There is going to be no facilities improvements anytime soon because we aren't generating revenue.

Has anyone uncovered the voodoo that occurs when we break even every year?

Leadership at Middle is worse that nepotism. We have the worst and wrong people at the helm and there are a l lot us us withholding our money and attendance until there is a change.

Regarding Murphy. Below the bleachers is fine. I actually like the lower bowl and past the bleachers. I just wish we kept it up like Vandy does Memorial because there is plenty of history at Murphy to keep a shine on it.

I would like to see the bleachers on the sides of the court be removed and boxes be put in their place. They could be designed to extend over the seating area, therefore, still having the use of the track portion... On the ends, up top, new updated bleachers could be installed. I would also like for the student section to be behind the goal where the band is... On the other end, behind the goal, I would like to see a Greek Student section...

Spot on. Massaro is the problem at MT. Not sure how we can actually get him out of here.

And for what it's worth, high schools in Texas have far surpassed what MT has in terms of facilities. Better stadiums, indoor facilities, better branding, etc.

Some high schools in Texas have better facilities than most G5 colleges.

It goes to show you what winning does. What Neal Brown did there was great. There is a reason WVU plucked him.

Beyond that though, the AD has a lot to do with it, but so does the coach.

Brown hasn't even coached a game here yet and people already love him just because of how personable he is. Goes out in the communities all over the state. Visited a school service in my hometown when one of our high school football players died.

Not saying Stock wouldn't do something like that, he's a good person as well, but he is not a people play the public kind of person. Brown is and I think that helped bring a lot of money in to Troy, in addition to the winning.

We just don't have any of that right now.

Stock is a good person...but, what we need is a salesman. I think when we heard how great he was at recruiting we assumed he would be a great ambassador for MT FB. Instead we've learned he is good behind close doors and probably good in the living room of a recruits family.

What we need is a salesman in the most public way. Nothing is trending in the right way for MT FB that suggest a growing program. At best we are holding on...at worst we are being left behind.
